FBI Director Wray, "...the weapon [shooter's rifle] had a collapsible stock..."
... Rep Andy Biggs R-AZ, "Did he have a scope [on his rifle]?"
FBI Director Wray thinks about it, "I, I believe so. But I guess (?) as I sit here right now I don't remember."
WTF. Doesn't anyone know or care if the rifle had a scope or not by now??
... Rep Thomas Massie R-KY, "...which of the counter snippers took the shot...?"
FBI Director Wray replies in part, "...we've conducted a number of interviews, including of, of HIM."
WTF. Him who? CST #1, CST#2, some other snipers? Educate yourself dude!!

While it is possible to make a head shot with this red dot sight at that range it is less accurate than a 12+ power scope.
This explains that the main reason Trump was not wounded even worse was because the shooter did NOT have a higher powered
scope mounted on his rifle. The Secret Service, Police and Trump can thank their lucky stars (or god?) as a result.
BTW. The rifle itself appears to be similar to DR-15 style rifles sold by DPMS Inc/DPMS Panther Arms (dpmsinc.com).
